Tarmacking has begun along Avenida del Mediterraneo in Salobreña, which connects the town to the beach area.

This is the 2nd phase of the resurfacing work and covers this main thoroughfare between the Casa de la Cultura as far as the Paseo Marítimo, and also includes the beginning of Avda. de Andalucía as far as the first roundabout.

The budget, which is funded from province-level sources, amounting to 149,000 euros, will be sufficient to do the whole of the said road, which is visibly deteriorated in places.

They will also take advantage of work on the roads to bring the existing pedestrian crossings into line with regulations.

This work along 680 metres of road should take three months.
