Driving Instructor Throttles Examiner

AND Driving Examiner OnLThe case of a driving instructor who tried to strangle a driving examiner has finally come up. We first reported on it HERE.

The public prosecutor is recommended a 1.5-year prison sentence as he considers that the attack constitutes an attack against a public functionary and bodily harm.

He is also recommending a fine of 720 euros and a compensation payment of 1,000 euros.

The incident took place in September of last year at 11.30h in the morning in the centre of Granada. In the car was the instructor, the examiner and the student taking the practical exam.

Apparently, the two men had had previous run ins and this episode was certainly the most violent. It was the student that managed to break the instructor’s grip on his victim’s neck.

We still don’t know whether he passed his exam that day or not.

Anyway, the trial will actually take place on the 20th of this month – stay tuned!
