It’s The Pope Calling

Pope Francis, alias Father JorgeThe Pope personally phoned a victim of sexual abuse in Granada allegedly carried out by several priests during his adolescence.

The victim, now in his 20’s, picked up the telephone and a man asked for him by name and he responded by asking who was calling. “It’s Father Jorge.” The victim said that he didn’t know any ‘Father Jorge’ and that the caller must have dialled the wrong number.

“Well, actually, I’m better known as Pope Francis.” Stunned silence. Then the young man broke down in tears.

He had recently written a 5-page, handwritten letter to the Pope, setting out all that had happened to him and expressing the anguish that he couldn’t shake, so although the call was certainly unexpected, it was logical.

The Pope apologised for what had happened to him and expressed his total personal support and the support of the Holy Catholic Church.

The police are now investigating numerous priests in the Diocese of Granada; some for their participation in these abuses and other for covering up for them.

In the meantime the controversial Archbishop of Granada has disappeared off the radar and nothing has been heard from him in the last 48 hours.
