When you are under anesthesia, you put your complete trust in the people who are going to be messing around with your body. For Andrew Walls, 32, this trust seems to have been misplaced.
The News Journal in Delaware, Texas, reports that Mr. Walls entered the Delaware Surgery Center, Dover in 2012 to have a colonoscopy. However, in a lawsuit against the hospital, Mr. Wall claims that he was the victim of an “outrageous” prank. The problem was that Mr. Walls also worked at the hospital, and his colleagues thought it would be an hilarious ruse if he were to wake up in pink panties.
Unfortunately, after the discomfort of the procedure, Mr. Walls really didn’t see the funny side of the ‘panties joke.’
“When the plaintiff initially presented for his colonoscopy, he had not been wearing pink women’s underwear,” the suit claims in Walls’ civil damages action.
Funny as it may seem to us, Mr. Walls actually claims he lost his job over the prank, being the butt of pink panty jokes on a daily basis became too much and he eventually left suffering “severe emotional stress.” The lawsuit is seeking damages for the “intentional infliction” of the said emotional stress.
As for the hospital… well they declined to make any comment, as the alleged events took place in 2012 and as Delaware Surgery Director, Jennifer Anderson stated, “We just found out about this yesterday afternoon.”
