XLIV Fiesta de La Chirimoya – From the 10th to the 13th.
Friday 10th:
18.30h: Gimkana infantil and bouncy castle free to all.
21.00h: Fiesta lights switched on and the official opening of the bar.
21.15h: Performance by dance group Andalucía Baila. Sponsored by the neighbourhood association, El Acueducto, Torrecuevas.
22.00h: Knees-up with the village dance band, Dirección Asistida.
Saturday 11th:
11.00h: Model aircraft flying display: helicopters and small aircraft.
11.30h: Piñata infantil (container hung up at parties to be beaten with sticks until sweets or presents fall out)
12.30h: Kiddies’ foam party.
14.00h: Meal organised by the PSOE de Almuñécar
16.15h: Cards competition (Paulo) in the Plaza El Acueducto.
16.30h: Feminine cards competition (Chichón)
17.15h: Horse & Cart exhibitioin in the Rambla
18.00h: Gastronomic competition
19.00h: Sub-tropical fruit competition in the Plaza El Acueducto.
20.00h: Night Race, MTB, Torrecuevas. Long race 35km, short one 23 km, starting point, the aqueduct.
22.00h: Knees-up with the dance band, Costasur until the early hours…
Sunday 12th:
08.45h: Hiking – route along Valle de Río Verde
09.00h: Petanca competition on the flat area near the rambla. Inscription 667 550 205
09.45h: VII Campeonato de Futbito. To register: Martín 677 479 384.
11.30h: Kiddies’ painting competition.
12.30h: Gymkana Infantil de bicicletas organizada por el Club Ciclista de Almuñécar.
13.15h: Fruit juice tasting (chirimoya).
14.00h: Lunch put on by the Asociación Vecinos El Acueducto de Torrecuevas.
18.30h: Mass in honour of the Virgin Mother.
19.00h: Solemn religious procession.
22.15h: Big firework display put on by Pirotecnia Martín S.L.
22.30h: Knees-up until the early hours with the village dance band, Época.
Monday 13th:
10.00h: III Duatlón-Cross, a held in the Barrio de Torrecuevas.
12.30h: Bouncy castle.
13.00h: Archery exhibition
14.00h: Lunch organised by the PP.
15.30h: Chirimoya dishes tasting.
16.00h: Prize giving.
16.30h: Winding up firework display.
