Who needs enemies when your friend takes advantage of your being in hospital to steal from your house?

The Policía Nacional arrested a 30-year-old man in the city of Granada, accused of removing money and possessions from the home of a friend.

The victim, who had been hospitalized after a motorbike accident, had left him his keys so that he could fetch some clean clothes from his house – he was due to be released after a 5-day stay.

When the victim arrived home it was discover several items missing: two crash helmets, a pair of sunglasses and 150 euros in cash, amongst other things. So he reported the theft to the police, pointing out that he had left his ‘friend’ his house keys for the previously mentioned reason.

The police were doubly suspicious of the friend, as he is already the possessor of a criminal record. A bit of detective work soon led to his arrest.
