Tarmacking in La Herradurura

la cuesta de la negrita in la herraduraWhilst the residents of Cuesta Fray Leopoldo might not be happy bunnies, the locals around Cuesta de la Negrita might reasonably be expected to be.

This lane links the Punta de la Mona with the village via the Barranquilo. Most locals knows it as part of Camino El Berenguel.

According to the First Councillor for the village, Ruiz Joya, the work was assigned to a local company, Cofer Asfaltos, with a budget of 15,000 euros for the 180 metres of lane (700 sq/m).

The Cuesta de la Negrita was the worst part of the Camino El Berenguel because when it rained the erosion often caused the whole lane to be closed to traffic.
