Eight aircraft were employed to tackle the fire, together with two 4×4 fire trucks and eight fire-fighting squads.

The existence of many HT-cables and pylons made flying operations especially difficult – the aircraft had to release their loads from a higher altitude than is usual in these cases.

The fire, which broke out more or less in front of Cortijo Pinchín, consumed two hectares of mountain shrub, some Spanish oaks and subtropical fruit trees.
