The next scheduled day of strike action – the 4th of September – in the dispute between the unions and the hostelry sector has been cancelled.

The unions says that it is an act of “good will,” so as not to disrupt the World Basketball Championships being held in the city of Granada at the moment.

Negotiations continue in the meantime and there remains the scheduled days of strike action on the 10th and 11th of this month.

The regional tourist board is mediating between the unions (CCOO and UGT) and the Federación de Empresas de Hostelería y Turismo.
