This weekend is your chance to visit the Medieval Fair in Salobreña – a yearly must!
The event, which is being held in the Parque La Fuente, started on Thursday the 10th and will conclude on Sunday the 13th. There’s plenty for both kids and adults, starting at 21.00h each evening and lasting until midnight.
The fair has around 40 stalls where you can buy handicraft and traditional-food products. There are falconry and archery stands, as well as a bouncy castle for the kids.
Many towns along the Costa Tropical hold this kind of event but Salobreña was the first to do it, if I remember correctly, about ten years ago and quite frankly, they do it best.
Hey, but if you miss it this weekend, you will have chance to visit a medieval zoco (bazaar) from the 24th to the 27th of August, put on by the same people.
Go along, because you won’t be disappointed, quite apart from the fact that entry is free, obviously.
So now you know. Tired of seeing your beer belly dancing around under your T-shirt, then go along to Salobreña and see a more salubrious belly-dancing display. You wife won’t mind… beating you to death with your own lolling tongue, that is.
