The Minister for Public Works, Ana Pastor, has promised that the Polopos-Albuñol section of the A-7 will enter service this December.

As for the Gorgoracha-Puntalón, which runs entirely through the municipality of Motril, it will come into service in March 2015.

Finally, the Carchuna-Castell section will be opened to traffic for September 2015.

Right, all of you go and practice holding your breath…

Oh, and don’t forget, if you’re taking the A-7 east of Almuñécar and you want to go to Salobreña, Motril or are heading for Almería, make sure that you exit the autovía at the Itrabo Exit (332), otherwise you won’t be able to get off the bloody thing until Vélez Benaudalla, where you will have to double back on yourself.
