The XVI Feria Gastronómica de Almuñécar 2014 will be held during the first weekend of June: 6th, 7th & 8th. The venue, as always, will be the Parque Botánico, El Majuelo.

According to the Councillor for Tourism, this yearly event has become a point of reference in the local area, cramming a great variety of dishes and styles into the 3-day event.

Being held simultaneously is the Encuentro de Blogueros: GastroAlmuñécar 2014, in which a group of gastronomic bloggers will participate in organized activities in order to get to know local cuisine.

This year, for the first time, these bloggers will man the judging panel and will choose the best dishes offered by the participating restaurants and mesons, etc.

This year the organisers hope to have over 30 participating stands.
