Speed bumps have been installed around La Herradura, which will please some and have others cussing.

The affected streets are: Prieto Moreno, La Cañada, La Unidad and the Acera del Pilar. The corresponding sign posts have been erected, too, to warn drivers of the presence of the speed bumps.

According to First Councillor, Ruiz Joya, locals have been after having such devices installed for a while, to slow traffic down and make the village safer for pedestrians.

Another task being carried out is the improvements to the rain channels along Avenida Prieto Moreno, which separate the road itself from the parking areas running alongside.
