The idea for the Tapa Route is for each participating establishment to offer two different and original tapas.
The event is organized by the municipal board of tourism, the municipal department of commerce, the Asociación de Comerciante Multisectorial del Almuñécar (ACMA) and Almueventos. The event is also sponsored by Viajes Ecuador, Hoteles Playa, hotel Best Alcázar, hotel Alcazaba de Busquistar and Cruzcampo.
As for the ‘trekkers’ on this Tapa Route, the idea is to get your ‘passport’ (available in participating establishments) stamped for having consumed six different tapas, with a minimum of three tapas in each establishment. Each consumición (drink+tapa) costs two euros.
Once you have filled your passport, you choose your favourite tapa, writing where you had it, thus enabling you to take part in a draw, whose prizes have been donated by the sponsoring entities.
