A British man on holiday meets two Senegalese gentlemen in a nightclub in Granada, gets drunk, goes back to their flat and… Yes, it all ended in tears.
The three of them had met in the club in the centre of Granada: the 26-year-old victim and the two aggressors of 38 and 26. After two hours of heavy drinking and dancing, it was suggested that he should accompany them to their nearby flat in the early hours after the club closed for a last drink.
So off they all set to the flat in Calle Aguirre but no sooner inside the flat, the intentions became apparent – backgammon comes to mind. This, incredible as it might sound, came as a surprise to the victim, who after a short but noisy scuffle, ends up on the balcony screaming for help.
Very soon a neighbour called the police who arrived with alacrity, running into one of the aggressors on the stairs, in a semi-clothed state.
The two gentlemen from Senegal were arrested and the British tourist was taken to the medical centre to check that his orifices had not been compromised.
And the moral of the story is, you can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool your mother.
