Nerja has just given birth to the Asociación de Teatro ‘Balcón de Europa,’ which will become operative from the 15th of this month at the Sala La Fábrica.

The Head of the association, Juan Salvador Gómez, has also been the theatre director of Compañía María Zambrano in Vélez for the last 20 years.

He explained that the club would work along two lines; one is putting on their own plays and the other is along teaching lines via a theatre workshop. The workshop will be open to anybody over 16 who wants to enter into the world of ‘Dramatic Art.’

Heading the workshop will be Nerja actress, Rocío Delgado who has worked in the ‘actors laboratory’ of one of the biggest theatrical companies in Spain.
