Giorgio Castagneri was a great success in the Jardín Museo del Bonsái de Almuñécar where he gave a lecture on Sunday the 22nd.
Over a hundred bonsai fans from different Andalusian bonsai clubs in Granada, Córdoba and Almería gathered to hear his words of wisdom.
Castagneri gave a demonstration on the care, for example, of the 120-year-old Japanese pine on show in the park.
In fact, the Maestro gave a 3-hour class to the members of the Asociación Amigos del Bonsái de Almuñécar, whilst answering questions posed.
Almuñécar is indeed lucky to have Andalucía’s largest open-air, bonsai garden within its municipality.
PS: Would you have guessed that this man is Italian?
