The new prices for the use of municipal sports facilities in Almuñécar/Herradura came into force today, the 3rd of September.

The Councillor for Sports – amongst other things – Luis Aragón, announced discounts on the use of the Padel and Tennis courts, for example. The seven Padel courts, which are in the Municipal Stadium Francisco Bonet area and the Rio Verde Complex will now cost from seven euros an hour.

As far as the tennis courts go, fees start at five euros per hour. “These prices have a 50% discount during mornings, from the 1st of September to the 30th of June, from Monday to Friday, except bank holidays. And of course, there will be exceptions for federation users from local sports clubs,” explained, Councillor Luis Aragón.

As far as the other sports installations go: football grounds, covered sports pavilion, athletics tracks and the municipal stadium, their prices have been adapted to user demands.

Finally, Sr. Aragón, explained that any users staying in tourist accommodation (hotels, hostels etc) will receive an automatic 50% discount on any municipal sports installations because the Town Hall is pushing sports tourism; i.e., users from outside the township that come to Almuñécar to take advantage of its excellent sports facilities.
