Donkey Death

Did you know…? More people are killed each year by donkeys than are killed in plane crashes. Well, let’s be honest, who’s counting? And more importantly, who cares? We just thought that this little snippet of information might help understand this following story.

Two donkeys are to be destroyed after they chased a elderly who was riding a ‘mobility scooter,’ dragged him off and then killed him.

The unfortunate chap, Sandor Horvath, 65, who was a retired fire-fighter, decided he would visit a friend of his who owned a farm in Magvarszecsod, Hungary. Little did he know that the donkeys Muki and Szamoca would be so incensed by his little scooter it would drive them attack.

During the incident, Sandor was dragged 50 meters from his scooter and then trampled and bitten to death. His injuries were reportedly so bad (he eve lost a hand), that it was originally thought that he had been attacked by a pack of wolves.

There was an autopsy that conclusively proved that the donkeys were responsible for his death, and the police said they are treating it the same as a dog attack and that the donkeys will be destroyed.

The part about donkeys and plane crashes is actually true… it’s also true that more people are killed each year by coconuts than by sharks. A world of information, we think you’ll agree, within these pages.
