Motril Flea Market

The Town Hall has just announced that it will be permitting a 2nd-hand market or car-boot sale to be held on a regular basis.

The market will be held every Saturday morning in the parking area of the the Plaza de Toros, giving room for about 100 stalls.

Councillor Ballesteros explained, “Our objective is to help this initiative which has already been developed in other municipalities with great success, both for the stall holders as well as their customers.” He went on to point out that it would also put a little life into the town on Saturday mornings.

The Town Hall will issue the necessary permits to those interested as and when they turn up, starting at 07.00h – in other words, first come; first served. The market will be opened to the public at 09.00h and continue through to 14.00h, so that by 15.00h everything must be packed up and the area emptied for cleaning.

No fee will be charged for the stall plots for the meantime and anybody can participate. You can sell anything as long as it is not new.

Lastly, the Councillor explained that the municipal bus service that operates between Al Campo and Puntalón has an official bus stop at the bull ring.
