Around 350 people participated in a march for equality on Sunday the 12th, entitled III Caminata por la Igualdad, it was part of the International Woman’s Day.

The event was organized by the women’s association, Siempre en Forma, the Municipal Board of Sports and the Club Nerja de Atletismo.

People of all ages participated in the march or walk, through the centre of Nerja, as well as emblematic places such as the Plaza de los Cangrejos, Paseos La Torrecilla and El Chucho, as well as the Rivera del Río Chìllar and the Parque Verano Azul.

When the march concluded, which had its starting and finishing point in the Plaza de España, the women’s association, Siempre en Forma, (Always Fit) thanked everybody for participating. The Councillor for Equality, Gema García, then read out a manifesto.

Nobody was killed.
