Residents’ Day in Nerja

A total of 38 associations have come forward to take part in the Día del Residente, which will be held in the Plaza de España on the 14th of April.

According to the Town Hall, this figure represents a new record, as the Residents’ Day with the most participation todate was in 2010 with 37 associations and clubs taking part.

This year there will be eight different bars, each run by different nationalities, putting on the typical food and drinks of their respective countries.

Although it’s still over a month away, it’s worth reminding everybody that it will begin at 12:00h and last until 19:00h, so make sure that you leave a space in your diary, so as not to miss the occasion. Be prepared, however, for last minute changes due to weather conditions; if it rains on the day, the event will be postponed until the following Sunday, the 21st.

There will also be live music and entertainment provided by people from different countries, so it’s not all about scoffing and boozing.

Finally, you’re still in time if you want to put your club’s name down, by sending an email to extranjeros@nerja.es or phoning 952 54 8401.
