A car rammed into the back of a police van in Granada, injuring three policemen. The police vehicle had stopped to assist another driver who had crashed.

It started when a car that was driving in front of the police van swerved into the central barrier on the main road that passes through the city of Granada, known as the Carretera de Jaén. We’re talking about near the Nevada camping site, not far from the bus station.

The police van, belonging to the Policía Nacional, braked and stopped to assist the driver of the crashed vehicle and the three policeman were still climbing out of the van when they were rammed from behind, resulting in all three of them being slightly injured.

When the policemen had eventually dusted themselves off and hobbled over to the first car, it was to find that the driver had twice the permitted level of alcohol in his bloodstream…
