Two men in two separate incidents died from burn injuries; both in the province of Málaga.
The first, 57-year-old A.M.A died in the early hours of the 4th in the intensive-care ward of the Virgen del Rocío hospital in Sevilla. Hours later a 63-year-old man died from his injuries in the same ward.
In the case of A.M.A., he succumbed to burns to 80% of his body in an incident that took place near Hospital Carlos Haya in Málaga. The victim was a vagrant that earned a little money from helping drivers to park their cars. A woman had seen him a little earlier and told him that his pocket was on fire. He was taken into the hospital and treated for minor burns and then released.
Barely an hour later he was taken to the hospital again, but this time with severe burns from his legs to his neck. First investigations indicate that his clothing was the cause of his undoing as he wore a tracksuit with a cheap imitation leather jacket on top, made from highly flammable material.
As for the 63-year-old man, he was found by police next to his car with burns to 75% of his body. The police suspect that that what happened to him was deliberate because a fire accelerant container was found next to him.
