You may remember this coming event on 6th October, as we mentioned it in the August edition. Well, we thought that as many of our readers will be returning from visits to their native countries, we should give it another push.
This is actually the Native English Speakers Culture Day 2012, and the theme of the event is the Swinging 60’s and the organizers need your help. They are still looking for British 60’s memorabilia, so if you have any albums, pictures, clothes or artifacts from that era, get in touch now!
The day itself, on October 6th will be held in the Casa de Cultura, with a fashion show in the auditorium around 1pm, at 2pm there will be a showing of the famous 60’s film Summer Holiday in the downstairs projection room. Then at 4pm in the same location there will be a showing of Hard Day’s Night or Help. Also, between 2 and 6pm there will be a film quiz in the conference room.
Commencing at 7pm in the auditorium will be Sounds of the Sixties, with live music, drama and poetry.
The 60’s exhibition will be on display all day in the exhibition room downstairs, with 60’s items and music.
The International School have are holding a 60’s design event, the results of which will also be on display.
There will also be refreshments and some kiddies activities going on as well.
