Two Police Stories

Over on Palma Majorca a policeman belonging to the Policía Naional was injured when a Nigerian gentleman struck him on the back with a machete, which isn’t recommended, but he was wearing an anti-stab vest, which is recommended. Meanwhile, over in Madrid, a man has been arrested for allegedly murdering a policewoman.

Starting with the incident in Palma Majorca, the 33-year-old aggressor was brought under control after police injected a 9mm bullet into his leg, using a tried-and-trusted police side arm. This measure was taken after he refused to stop brandishing the machete and to drop it.

Back to the murder of a policewoman in Madrid. The 62-year-old policewoman, Carmen Muñoz Pérez was shot in the chest and killed when she and her 52-year-old patrol companion tried to intercept a van involved in the hold up of a post-office. The policeman was also shot but not seriously injured.

This is the second arrest in connection with the incident, the first being 42-year-old, D.M.F.R., which on the 8th of August.
