Joaquín Mingorance Romero, who is the chairman of the Asociación de Vecinos de Gelibra, (Almuñécar) has made a written complaint to the Town Hall, expressing his rejection of the Council’s response to a request made in September 2011 for the work on the access lane to Gelibra to be completed; i.e., tarmacked, etc.
Ten months have gone by since that request was lodged before the Mayor, Sra. Herrera, yet here response has been that the work has already been completed. Sr Mingorance, on the other hand, says that just one look at the said lane would confirm that this is not the case; i.e., the roadside verges still need a layer of cement. The retaining walls at La Cruz and on the Cuesta de los Bancales bend need doing, as well as signposting.
The Chairman of the neighbourhood association emphasises that these tasks need to be carried out before the autumn rains begin, to avoid damage to the already completed work.
