Habilis Lends A Hand

Salobreña has seen the birth of a social organisation that operates, free of charge, to give sound financial advice to the unemployed, families and young people who need help.

Habilis will offer this service every Wednesday morning at the Seminary Room at the Casa de la Cultura. This group of selfless young people will offer advice on how to compose a C.V., prepare for work interviews, self-confidence workshops, as well as info on resources available in the area.

“At the present point in time, it is very important to be able to count upon specialists who can guide people in their search for a job; to make the best of their personal assets and to indicate on which doors to knock,” said the Councillor for Social Welfare at the Salobreña Town Hall, María José García.

The Councillor made a point of stating that the service was not a public service offered by the Town Hall, as it only provides the meeting place… which sounds a bit like a disclaimer, doesn’t it?
