More Public Lighting Improvements

The push to modernise and make more efficient the public lighting around La Herradura continues with work on Calle Canalejas, crossing over Calle Alhambra and down a side street of Plaza Nueva.

Four new 3.5m lampposts have been installed with an output of 100 watts, shedding ‘more light’ onto the Barranquillo crossroads along Calle Alhambra.

“The new metallic-halogen lamps are replacing the mercury-vapour ones, as they are now illegal. They have a better output and save up to 40%,” explained the First Councillor for La Herradura, Juan José Ruiz Joya.
