The PSOE opposition party has called for urgent improvements to be made to  the Camino de la Negrita. Furthermore, reparations to the lane would include the building of a mirador (lookout area) at the top.

Socialist councillor, Censi Ruiz, says that the lane ‘is very deteriorated’ making traffic flow dangerous.

“It’s a pity that this lane has been forgotten for so many years, because it is a ‘strategic’ place from which to view the village. It has enormous tourist potential, which is being wasted,” she concluded.

Where is it? If you take the lane up towards the cemetery but turn right before you reach it, there is a lane that climbs up quite steeply, which links up with the Punta de la Mona road – this is La Negrita.
