(Northern Granada) The Guardia Civil in Guadix are investigating the case of a dead farm worker, found with a shotgun wound to the face. At the scene of the crime there were also a dozen burnt out farm vehicles.
[mappress] The victim, who had worked on the Cortijo La Canaleja, farming estate (Dehesa de Guadix) for the last 18 years, had recently returned from a 2-week holiday. The 49-year-old man was worried that he would be losing his job, because of the economical crisis, even though the farm manager had told him on the 19th that there was work for him.

A house and twelve vehicles all suffered fire damage, including three 4×4’s, several tractors, two JCB’s, a lorry rig and a trailer.

The man, whose body is undergoing an autopsy, leaves behind a wife and three children (two girls and a boy)
