An off duty Guardia-Civil policeman was strolling along in the hospitable and welcoming town of Prune when his attention was drawn to a man and a woman – one armed with a wood axe and the other an iron bar – apparently busily trying to kill somebody, . He begrudgingly opted to end his day off and intervene.
As the victim had already received blows to the head, the policeman’s timely intervention probably saved he his life.
No further information is available as to the identity of the victim and assailants, nor their motive… It might have been a hot day and the victim could have said something provocative like, “Hello.”
