Granada’s PP has formally denounced the Socialist mayor of Loja, Miguel Castellano, for allegedly selling off plots of land at “laughably” low prices to intimates, fellow-travellers, and others favoured by the Socialists.
By now, if you’ve been keeping up with the times, this will not be news to you but merely the perpetuation of the status quo, whereby what once was qualified as the norm (urban development corruption) is now as outlawed as smoking in-doors.
Government as well as opposition are pursuing those guilty with ardour but with a typical twist: they only go after their opposite number, such as the above demonstrates. And the only thing laughable about any of this is that the PP do exactly the same thing.
