The Ed spoke about this project last month, so I decided to take my family along on one of their activities- a 2-hour walk at the back of Herradura. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet other young families from Almuñécar, La Herradurra and Nerja, whilst giving the children a chance to make new friends of their own age.
Sophie Bruinsma, who organises the club, has a whole host of outdoor activities, from football, rugby, walking and sailing as well a variety of indoor activities such as board games (in Spanish and English), dancing, Karate and painting to keep the children entertained.
The children can attend from 4.00pm till 7.00pm, or alternatively join the group for just one hour between 6pm and 7pm to do a specific activity. Once a month Sophie organises a family day when the parents and children can all meet each other. This month Sophie has organised a trip to Sierra Nevada on Sat 18th December where everyone can take part in some tobogganing and also a visit to a traditional house.
