Well, now, speaking of living here – some, many or fewer of you will have heard that Arlene (aka SWMBO) and I are moving back to the good ol’ US of A. ‘Tis true, I regret to tell you.

We’re off to Tucson, Arizona, for reasons essentially unknown to me, but clearly there is a plan – to the details of which I am not privy (don’t you just love when you can put together a clause like that, with grammar beyond reproach?)

So this will be my penultimate column for the magazine; my thanks to everybody for reading, sometimes responding to appeals, and most of all for not complaining to the Ed. about the occasional rant. I have one column left, for the December edition, which will be my parting shot as well as a fond farewell.

To all those among you who have helped me write this column, a great big, “Thank You.” And to those who have provided easy targets (e.g. our Mayor, and all local politicians) the same.
