So, did the earth move for you on April 12th? Really? Well, it should have done, because we had an earthquake, with an epicentere about15 miles South-East of Granada, just after midnight on that date (12.08am, to be precise). Measured at 6.2 on the Richter Scale, which would probably be classed as a medium.
Having lived through a 7.2 rocker in Los Angeles, where large chunks of overpass freeway collapsed, and the building really did move, I can vouch for the fact that 6.2 isn’t really a proper earthquake. Anyway, the absence of any notable damage is down to the fact the trembler was recorded as having a depth of 616 kilometres. Seismologists say that almost all the shock at that depth is absorbed before it reaches the surface.
So, anybody who tells you the earth truly did move for them is probably just being polite!
