New Roundabouts

LHR RAB EspinarThe main news covered by Ideal has been the completion of the road works putting roundabouts in la Rambla de Espinar and San Antonio.
The work was to be completed by the end of the year, but the lights are up, signs placed, and roads painted. That should be it… or is it? You see I have a slight problem with the Espinar system, and I believe a few others have voiced similar confusion. For some reason, I thought that the traffic would go up the hill from the El Día junction on the left side of the river and come down on the opposite side… but there still seems to be traffic coming down both sides?
I realise this may just be me, misunderstanding what was intended here, and most of you know, I am easily confused, but I really thought the plans showed the intention to be a one way system of traffic going up on the N340 side and coming down on the El Día side. Also pointed out to me recently, something I didn’t notice, even when taking my photos, there are no roundabout signs… or has that changed? Answers in an email please.
The Cuesta de Marchante job is a different ball game altogether. The new stretch of road and two roundabouts seem to be working very well, with locals not having to make that dangerous and illegal exit onto the N-340.
