Last month we reported on Justo Márquez; the guy with the cross who wanted to carry it to Madrid in protest. He was found just north of Granada, having suffered from heat stroke – there’s a surprise!
He had set off on this ill-advised journey because he wanted to bring public attention to the fact that members of his family had denied him water from their water reservoir. He had previously staged a hunger strike but dropped it after hitting on the cross-dragging crusade.
Well, since then a member (in-law) of the said family, Manuel Lozano, claimed that, “Justo’s paraphernalia do not equate with reality.” Sr. Lozano considers that Justo’s only intention is to whip up another media circus to cover up his ‘real character.’
The family says that in no moment did they stop Justo from having access to the family’s water supply for his own plot of land. “He claims this before the press because he cannot claim it before a Judge – he has no evidence to back his claim,” said Sr. Lozano.
Furthermore and finally, Sr. Lozano said that Justo has several cases pending with the law and gets on with nobody. “He’s bought an airgun and threatens his neighbours with it,” he claimed.
