Crime has again reared its ugly head in our village. A local man had 500 euros taken from him, by a woman, whilst he was using a cash-point machine.
The man, who suffers from Parkinson’s Disease was not injured, but that does not detract from the disgusting nature of such a crime, where the offender has specifically sought out the most vulnerable in our society.
Let’s hope that whatever was so important for her to purchase with her ill gotten gains brings her nothing but pain and unhappiness.
Sorry if that is perhaps a tad strong, but there are certain crimes that just seem to rankle more than others, and for me, this is one of them.
Back to the news, and as a follow up to the above, one of our clients in Almuñécar has had their van broken into (for the second time), so it does seem to appear that this increase in criminality, alongside the economic downturn is continuing.
