There was a small commotion next to the petrol station on the Avenida de Andalucia, situated in the town centre
Motril fire service was called in to put out a burning car, parked behind the gasolinera in the centre of Motril, just metres from the forecourts.
The car developed a fire under the bonnet and although staff at the gasolinera were the first to tackle the problem, the task was soon taken over by the town’s fire service.
It is not known what caused the engine to burst into flames but fortunately nobody was hurt.

Good work by the staff at the petrol station. Luckily the fire station isn’t too far away.
