The Cortijo Grub Stops in Montefrío

A British club up in Montefrio, (Poniente de Granada) raised and handed over 1,000 euros to the Asociación de Minusvalidos de Montefrío. Half of that money also went to the local elderly-persons home, San Antonio.

La Cruz Roja has put out a call for help to deal with ‘an avalanche of poverty on the Costa Tropical. This organisation already provides supplies and help for 5,000 families in need and now finds itself overwhelmed and in need of funds.
Poppy Appeal Final Count

The Nerja Branch of the Royal British Legion has now finished counting the contents of 45 poppy, collection boxes that have been in place in various bars and restaurants in and around Nerja. The amount raised is in excess of €2,000.
