
Well, technically, Salobreña’s bus station isn’t one but rather an apeadero or staging stop. However, and more to the point of this article, its bar has new people running it.

Nowhere else will you find such a complete Arabic menu, with cus cus, falafel, taboule and even Arabic veggie dishes. If the fancy takes you, you could even partake of a delicious mint tea! Or even try a homemade Arabic desert.
You’re assured of a warm welcome when you drop in at El Ancla (The Anchor), and at the same time you can enjoy a full English breakfast, snacks and full meals, it’s also worth checking out the blackboard outside for specials.
The family team of Katie, Jean, Cliff and Jonathan can be found on Paseo Andrés Segovia from 10.00am every day except Thursdays, and there you will find, from the creative hand of Jonathan, fish and chips worthy of a king!
If, like me, you enjoy finding a bit of shade during the summer, but still want to watch the world go by, do what I do and pay a visit to Café-Bar Pin-Ball, on under the Paseo del Altillo in Almuñécar. With its huge terrace, with seaviews in both shade and sun.
