Road Improvements, N-340

Work on the roadside of the N-340 on either side of the Punta de la Mona tunnel is continuing. Drainage is being improved by turning the earth culverts into a concrete ones.

Tree Controversy

Anybody who has walked or driven past Las Esplanadas in the town centre will have seen workers and machinery operating on the garden area. However, this has generated quite a bit of controversy because the PSOE claim that old trees are being indiscriminately cut down and the stumps uprooted.

New Shopping Centre?

A commercial centre to rival Málaga’s Centro Comercial, El Ingenio has been on the cards for a while, but now it finally looks like it is going to happen. The location will be just across the road from Al Campo, where the road works have been taking place – you know; the eastern entrance into Al Campo, on the roundabout.

New Bicycle Lane

The new bicycle lane from the Esplanadas, all the way down to the port was in inaugurated on the 21st,

Goodbye Summer

As I write this, in mid – September, all one can really say is, “Phew.” The August heat has gone, most of the Tourists, ditto, and we can get back to life as we planned to live it when we came here!

Eco Rastro News

As we get back to normal, by the time you read this, the next Eco Rastro (told you I’d carry on calling it that) will have been held, in El Parque de la Fuente, on October 2nd (not on the online edition, mind).

The Circus is Here!

Probably the most famous circus in the world can be seen in city of Granada from the 29th of September to the 3rd of October… We’re talking about the Canandian Cirque Du Soleil. You had better hurry, because all entrance tickets are already nearly all sold out
