La Herradura will soon have an investigation centre, belonging to the Andrés Segovia Classical Guitar Competition, which will be housed the in Civic Centre, said village First Councillor, Juan José Ruiz Joya, which he announced at the opening ceremony of this year’s competition.

The much-needed stretch of autovia between Gorgoracha and Puntalón was 75% complete when all work ground to a halt; the construction company Isolux Corsan had struck an unexpected strata of rock that would require a lot of extra funding to reroute the construction work.
Almuñécar Signs Deal with Russian Tour Operator

The municipal board of tourism has signed an agreement with a Russian tour operator in which the Town Hall will pay 50% of the transport costs from Málaga Airport to Almuñécar hotels.

Blocked, Bridge Arches Cleared

The arches of the old bridge over the Barranco Las Tejas had become clogged with vegetation, washed down by the recent rains. Fortunately, the Town Hall has now rectified the situation, removing the debris.
Art Exhibition

There will be an art exhibition at the Centro Civic in La Herradura, running for the 15th to the 30th of this month. Viewing times are from 10.00h to 14.00h, barring weekends, when it will be closed to the public.
