The Casa de la Cultura in Nigüelas will bring together historians, researchers, and specialists to address La Memoria Democrática, covering Francoist repression, the role of women, exile, and deportation.
With this programme, Nigüelas becomes a space for discussing the Memoria Histórica (supressed history under Franco) for six days, with a perspective that spans from local history and exhumations to political and social repression, women’s memory, the libertarian movement, the Civil War, Francoism, exile, and deportation to Nazi concentration camps.
