Possessing a dangerous breed of dog is one thing, using it to attack another person is definitely very naughty and devastatingly frowned upon.

But this is the case in the city of Granada where one such dog owner instructed his pit bull to munch its way through somebody with whom he did not share the same views.

The dog obediently sank its gnashers into the victim’s thigh ripping open a wound in his muscle. The dog owner was pleased, the dog was pleased but the victim… not so much.

This occurred one Tuesday last month on the lane leading to the city’s cemetery – five patrol cars of Policía Local officers was deemed the necessary amount to confront the man and his spring-loaded mutt.

Now, it appears that the families of both the aggressor (the man, not the dog) and the victim hold a long standing, mutual grudge; were it to have occurred in Sicily, it could be described as a vendetta. In fact, they had arranged to meet there beforehand, although “bring your psychopath dog with you,” was not part of the agreement.
