Infoca has been tackling a hill fire in the municipality of Molvízar since yesterday, which broke out around 19.00h

They despatched numerous firefighters together with two fire trucks on the ground, as well as two aeroplanes and three helicopters.
Vegetation on the affected hilltop in the El Morro area is sparse, mainly mountain shrub and grass but even so the fire created a tall column of smoke, visible from down on the coast.
The Infoca press release on social media states that two amphibious aircraft, whether they are referring to Air Tractors AT-802 with floats (possible) or big, twin-engined, Canadair CL-415 that land on the sea to fill up. Perhaps a resident of Salobreña could confirm this?
The lastest report from the Infoca Twitter account states that they had the fire penned in by 21.00h and that 65 firefighters were to remain at the scene of the fire during the night.
