Finn Burnt to Death in Órgiva

A homeless Finnish citizen in his early 50s set fire to himself in Órgiva on Wednesday the 5th of last month, after pouring alcohol onto himself.

His remains were found in the early morning on a vacant lot next to Calle González Robles. Apparently, the deceased suffered from a mental disorder and had been assisted on a previous occasion by Órgiva’s social services and municipal police officers, according to the Mayor of Órgiva, Raúl Orellana.

According to the Vice-Mayor, José Miguel Herrera, the man had arrived in town about a year ago, after having moved up from the coast. He had no fixed abode, wandering the streets and sleeping there.

The Órgiva Town Council has begun arrangements with his family in Finland concerning his body.

Editorial comment: it doesn’t make sense. If the body was found next morning, how do they know that he had set fire to himself? If somebody had witnessed it, how come the body wasn’t found until the next morning. There appears to be a some information missing.
