It was only last month that a hillfire above the Embalse de Béznar caused concern in the valley and now there is another one not far from where the first was.

Infoca and the Granada Fire Department were out tackling the fire yesterday around 18.00h, which is in the Pinos del Valle-Embalse de Béznar area.

Owing to its proximity to dwellings, the firefighting units were busy keeping it away from them, both by land and from the air as Infoca deployed a semi-heavy helicopter, two land-based airplanes and around 30 firefighters plus a large fire truck.
