An accident between two vehicles in Ogíjares yesterday morning ended up with four people injured, three of them only slightly, but one woman was trapped inside her car. She was freed by another driver who was passing by.

Eyewitnesses phoned the emergency coordination service, 112 around 09.55h on the Camino de Armilla near the Urbanización El Carmelo residential area, involving two vehicles. 

The driver who rescued the woman said that he found the trapped woman covered in blood, complaining of a pain in her lower adomen.

After freeing her from the wreck, he turned his attention to the other vehicle which had hit the crash barrier. Inside was a father and his two daughters.

The girls didn’t need assistance to get out of the car but the father had to be freed by fire personnel although he was not badly injured.

The woman in the first car, however, was rushed by ambulance to the Hospital de Neurotraumatology in Granada.
